The Center of Competences Agrotourism Ticino of the Ticino Farmers’ Union work with commitment to increase the amount of affiliated agrotourisms and to give greater promotional, informational (fairs and website) and consulting support. The growing public interest in the agrotourism, the increased professionalism, the great popularity of our website and the first version of the catalog led us to the decision to present an update of the catalog of the farmhouses in Ticino.
The Ticino Farmers’ Union (UCT) represents the primary sector in Ticino and puts effort into a constant work for the agriculture and the primary sector of Ticino. Thus, we believe that it is essential to give the correct value to the heritage of traditions and the quality of our regional products, and to create new accessory activities that can ensure a future to our agriculture and that bring important benefits to the social and economic development of our region.
A reservation in an agro-tourism is the best way to taste natural foods and wholesome products of the peasant family, sleeping in single rooms or in comfortable apartments, but also in dormitories and accommodation on the straw, depending on the desires and needs. A holiday in an agrotourism is definitely unique. Increasingly appreciated are also the educational and cultural parts proposed by the agrotourisms in various forms.
